Ross Smith, Registered Financial Adviser based in Milford on Auckland's North Shore

Whilst Ross is new to mortgage broking he has had 38 years experience working with both the Bank of New Zealand and the National Bank in the North and South Islands. His role prior to joining First Rate Mortgages was as an Area Manager for the Business Banking segment in the Auckland North Region.

Ross Smith has recently joined First Rate Mortgages Ltd after a long and successful career, initially starting with the Bank of New Zealand prior to being head hunted after 16 years to join the National Bank. During this time he has gained a wealth of experience dealing with Personal, Business & Rural finance. Ross has worked in many locations with both BNZ and  NBNZ in New Zealand ranging from Invercargill, Te Awamutu, Auckland and through to Kaitaia.

During his 38 years within the banking sector he has worked in numerous branches, many of these in a management role. In the past 16 years he was in a senior management role overseeing, coaching & mentoring Business Banking Managers who specialised in home loans, rental investments, commercial property finance & business lending.

Ross is a family man married with three adult children. Both he and his wife have supported their children through a number of competitive sports from regular attendants at events to involvement at committee & official levels. Ross has also held several positions on business committees both in New Zealand & Australia. Ross & his wife enjoy travelling both in New Zealand & overseas preferring to travel in a campervan to see the many places of interest that are off the main tourist routes. When travelling they spend many hours tramping on the picturesque walking tracks. 

Ross enjoys meeting people and assisting them in understanding the many and varied options available to help them fulfill their goals.
